Arthur van der HargArtHarg@mastodon.nlOct 23, 2026, 9:35 AM@VeroniqueB99 I guess it’s time to introduce Americans to the concept of ‘rounding’ in cash payments.

@ArtHarg 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that's a big ask...
Pseudo Nympseudonym@mastodon.onlineOct 23, 2026, 4:31 PMI don't know man. That whole "rounding to the nearest ten" thing sounds suspiciously metric.
Can I still round to the nearest furlong pet fortnight, or football field, or feral hog?
Carsten Frankecarstenfranke@mastodon.socialOct 23, 2026, 4:24 PM@VeroniqueB99 I once had a $0.32 copay at the pharmacy, while in the corporate world. I then received a letter from my health savings account that I would receive a benefit of $0.32. Then I received a letter with a check of $0.32. And at the end of the month I received a letter with the monthly benefit summary, of $0.32.
That 32 cent must have caused $20 in administrative cost...- VeeVeroniqueB99@mastodon.socialOct 23, 2026, 5:21 PM
@carstenfranke That happens a lot...🤦
