A bitter pill to swallow: if you believe that migrating to safer languages is important*, but your approach to doing so causes people to feel annoyed, threatened, etc… and dig in their heels, then you aren't actually acting on your belief.

If it's really important, it's important enough to talk about in a way that feels unsatisfying for you and is more difficult to wordsmith, but doesn't antagonize the people you're speaking to.
