For the last 2 years I have been tracking a generational change in the nature of software development, and I think I've finally decided where all of this turmoil is going to end up. It's good news, but not for everybody. https://seldo.com/posts/we-are-all-product-engineers-now/

Really good thread! Thank you. 🙏

The more you know, the dumber you think others are

Cool to see Solid mentioned on the BBC! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-68286395?utm_source=brevo&utm_campaign=Newsletter_2024March&utm_medium=email

Is there any better example of regulatory capture than what has happened to COP? What a total, depressing failure it is. Humanity must not rely on that body in any way; it is rancid with corruption. Some alternative body should be established which explicitly bans anyone with any association to the oil industry.

Congratulations to Argentina but also to France who just /almost/ overcame the greatest of all time and jointly created the best world cup final we have ever seen. It's a shame there had to be a loser but there did have to be and I'm glad it wasn't Messi.

Really, really proud of the England team. Love 'em. Congratulations to France who took their chances well. The referee shouldn't be in charge of another gave at this level; his performance was unacceptably poor.

I can't believe I'm having to post this but UK government approving a new coal mine in 2022 is insanity to me. I've signed this petition, please sign and share if you agree: https://act.gp/3HgJd8c

I really like Mastodon so far. I've had an account here for a few years but the quality and diversity of people posting in the fediverse has, as I'm sure you've noticed, improved dramatically recently. And I'm very excited that it has RDF at its core.

Does anyone know any interesting economists who Toot that I can follow? Also interested in decentralized technologies. Any recommendations welcome!
