    @eric “I want to impress someone with my taste in media but am not super committed to it past that” had me laughing 😅

    @eric Cool idea. I would only add “I have already seen this one, did you know cinema and TV existed before Netflix?”

    @eric
    "Please forget I ever watched this, then scrub the record that listed I wanted this forgotten."

    That's what burner profiles are for. 🤪

    I just want the option to make generated lists on the home screen omit what I've already watched or rated.

    Netflix streaming used to have a 5 star system, they replaced them with thumbs in 2017 (their disc subscription service kept using star until the bitter end). They also used to have a "Not interested" button, "Jack and Jill" was one of the rare instances when I used it.

    @cwilcox808 I totally forgot about the old five star rating! Mind if I update my post to link to this post and give you credit for it?

    @eric What I'd really like is to be able to put shows & movies into my own categories (e.g. "sick-day comfort watch" vs "impressive but very intense") & then later pick the category I'm looking for & have the streaming service give me similar suggestions.

    Heck, I'd settle for being able to turn off any algorithmic analysis of my own watch history & just being able to ask for "movies like X & Y" or even quickly being able to find some intersection of their own catalogue categories.

    @noodlejetski Thanks for the head's up. I ran into some Netlify/Let's Encrypt issues earlier this year, but it should be sorted now.
