I volunteered to run the light booth for the theater's upcoming show. I should never volunteer for musicals. I've heard the same songs over and over every night since Sunday, and I will hear them every night through this coming Sunday. And then two more weekends after that.

@MLE_online When Pete Townshend accepted a Tony award for The Who's Tommy musical, he bemoaned that he had seen Cats and loved it, and now seen his own show countless times and hated it

The line was that the Wells Fargo wagon comes into town on the same day as my birthday, so every time that line came up, I'd lean over to the second trumpet player and go "hey! Bobby! That's my birthday!"
One day in rehearsal we ran that scene probably 15 times and every time I'd lean over to the second trumpet and remind him that it was my birthday.
And every god damn performance. Every time. He got so mad, and HE got in trouble with the conductor when he finally smacked me over the head with his water bottle.

@Affekt I have that with certain songs that played on the store radio during my various retails jobs. Solid by Ashford and Simpson, and Shiny Happy People by REM are two notable ones
