I find the concept of advertising so incredibly puzzling... traditional ads are weird, but modern online tracking ads are even more weird.

New WIP Design for Manufacture Workbench

One of the most fantastic things about FreeCAD is the constant flow of people making brilliant add on collections of tools. One work in progress that has caught our eye is the FreeCAD DFM Workbench. The Design For Manufacture (DFM) workbench aims to perform analysis of your FreeCAD models against user configurable sets of rules to identify potential problems in manufacturing.

Ran a bit of a long term test with my VTR to see if it's stable and I was able to record around 17 minutes before it started losing sync again. Ugh…
So either the drum speed is slowly drifting as it warms up, or the camera frame rate is slowly drifting, or the load on the motor increases as we get towards the end of the tape, or it's something completely different…

I should probably repeat that test with a quartz locked camera to at least mostly rule that out as the source of the problem.
