If we centralize things so they are easier to admin, consolidate, and optimize they turn into money grabbing evil backstabbers mostly.
If we decentralize: we just create a disaster scape of attack surfaces that becomes fundamentally hard to maintain.
We are darned if we do, and darned if we don't.
I'm clearly feeling very optimistic after a couple of days of cold/sniffles/need sleep without sleep ;-)
