I've never owned AppleCare in all the years its been available, but the combination of the new perpetual subscription version and a $3,000 iPad convinced me now was probably a good time to start 😅
@stroughtonsmith AppleCare One has a very bad reputation. I’ve heard nothing but complaints.

@stroughtonsmith as someone who has used Express Replacement Service a fair few times, I will always get AppleCare for everyday carry devices, getting a replacement device within a day or two of opening the incident before having to send in the damaged one is so convenient. For less mobile devices though, I generally stick with the standard warranty.
