Holy shit, so the "Claude plagiarised an app" story is actually "Claude produced the same app twice when prompted to do so by two separate developers" 😅

@nicklockwood to be fair, it probably also plagiarised an app, just not one we know about.
it does raise an interesting point though: in the age of LLMs and if people don't care about the sloppiness of the output, it means all software development companies are done for, aren't they? if your company pays both Claude and the dev team, the customer can just cut the middle man and pay Claude directly and get the same app, like this story.
it amazes me that devs haven't unionized against this.

Dude built an astrology app which got rejected by apple, so he rewrites that into an astronomy app and slops out a ragebait blogpost complaining how evil apple is for rejecting his app and how we should all make web apps.
To quote: "an astronomy app I am working on that began as an astrology app". Seriously? I know that llm usage impairs thinking, but this is special..
@nicklockwood honestly, I’m much happier that the machine produces consistent output! Consistent, predictable outputs are ideal
