    @emc2 @ramin_hal9001 in a lot of orgs, that would work: they just look at tokens. But some places require you to prove you used the output, unfortunately.

    And there’s also the issue that LLMs let you code faster (but worse), so if your org has bad productivity measures you might be forced to do your job badly in order not to be fired. Which is exactly as fucked as it sounds

    @emc2 yeah, what @calcifer said is basically my situation. In my case, the boss is looking at the end result, not the actual token usage, and there are just not enough people on the project for me to get all the necessary work done on time. So it kind of forces me to use AI, at least in the situations where I am sure it will get the job done faster than if I did it by hand.
