I always thought the goal with these press releases about #AI agents 'hacking' were really intended to convince people they were more capable than they actually are. Now I'm beginning to think this is really about convincing people they have, or are about to, achieve sentience. That their makers are on the precipice of creating true general artificial intelligence.

@jackwilliambell Hype is their entire product. It's what keeps the stock prices up and VC dollars flowing.
In any sane world these companies would have been immediately prosecuted because it doesn't matter what program or tools you used to commit crimes. The responsible entity is the company, not the tool.
