@davey_cakes The nature of UK libel law (compared to most jurisdictions is WAY easier to prove libel and WAY harder to disprove it; burden seems basically on the defence) is probably largely to blame, though it also is in a long feedback loop with the UK's general bent towards protecting and coddling the rich and powerful and corporate.
