Nobody needs my personal take on this Rod Liddle fellow. I've never lived in the UK, I was blessed enough to never hear his name during his lifetime, and I'm discovering his hot takes about topics like the sexual magnetism of 14-year-olds posthumously. But if you *want* my take, for some reason, it's pretty simple.
It is utterly unremarkable that a man this vile was born, or that he lived, or that he died. Plenty of shriveled little blighters like him have done exactly that, to no fanfare at all. What's remarkable and damning is that he was given a platform to say what he said, as if it was worth anyone else hearing. His public existence is the criminal record of the British media machinery, and not hardly the full scope of it. An empire that cares what people like Rod Liddle have to say, have an overdue reckoning of conscience sitting at their doorstep.
Demand obscurity for such men and women, with a loud voice, for it's kinder than they deserve, but exactly the kindness you owe your neighbor.
