    @sandwich welp. it's slightly bizarre to see a client that presents itself as being accessibility-focused, having such a poor alt text implementation...

    I don't know if it also shows you the alt texts it generated so you may not be aware of this, but I went back through a couple of your posts and they basically all look like the result of asking an LLM "summarize the picture for me", focusing on composition and vague descriptions instead of what the image is actually about or even just what it displays

    like in this case it describes the message on the wall as "a message about racism in America and protest" but it never actually specifies the message itself ("racism is so american that when you protest it people think you are protesting america"), and in https://mastodon.world/@sandwich/117029541211263207 it describes the guy on the right as "a man in a suit" even though presumably the identity is relevant to the meme...

    I grew up playing with African children. I came back to the USA and had to learn the Race Line

    See, in Africa. they sort you out by tribe. So I came with Hausa axioms and ethics. Which solidified as not-trusting-Igbo people. Hausa bigotry, Hausa prejudices.
