All while being 100% truthful (though not necessarily honest).

I can imagine this horror. I can see the shine in his eyes when you asked for the recommendation, thinking he was the best boss in the world. Fiction is great when the "characters" can't read between the lines…=)
Aug 6, 2026, 1:14 AM@ixtlidekami Yes, it took very, very careful wording. The advantage I had is that he believed he *was* a good boss; his ego would not permit any other framing. That lightened the burden on my end a bit.
