the problem with them is not that they are sympathetic to fascists, it's just that they see fascism as an abstract historic thing, and not the reason the neocolonial structures and extractionism is the basis for their comfortable lives.

only once the system fails you enough that you also end up on the exploited side, will you see that and be able to become anti fascist.

saying people who aren't antifa are fascist helps absolutely noone, instead they need to be educated on how fascism is a tool for the simple sake of obtaining power, used by the wealthy to have the working people blame each other instead of working together.

i always use the argument that germany spends so much on refugees who don't work, and saying that it's the refugees stealing the german working people's money. first i ask how much it is (noone knows) and then i tell them that in the past 20 years, the 50 wealthiest people extracted more wealth than the past 20 years of refugee system cost. and then i ask them whether it would make more sense to give all that money to the billionaires or to the millions of refugees we "helped" over the past 20 years.

and that really gets shit going, bcs it's absolutely certain that at one point people unaware of neocolonialism use that argument. and just the fact alone that just a few dozen of their own country-people take more money from them than all the people fleeing war and famine caused by us does flick a switch for most people.

and those where that doesn't work, yeah, they're fascists.
