"How many watering cans full of water per day do I have to carry down the garden to keep the frog pond topped up whilst there's a hosepipe ban" is not a piece of arithmetic I've ever had to do before.
I vaguely remember reading that animal welfare was one of the statutory exemptions to the hosepipe ban...?
@only_ohm Not sure they'd count our frogs. There's not really any sense in which they're "our" frogs anyway, they're their own frogs.
@TimWardCam I think this use would be exempt. Have you tried reading your water co's info on hosepipe bans?
@annehargreaves Pretty well everything except watering the lawn seems like it could be exempt if you interpret the rules creatively enough. I'm not going to.
