Police contact AGAIN today. Today's Karen call my ex threatened me with police contact for HOURS. Then when the cops finally showed up my ex started a tug of war for an item I was holding.
I told them to stop.... the cop then claimed I was harassing HIM because I told my ex to stop trying to steal something out of my hands in front of a cop!

Here's the thing, in the wake of Seattle's 2020 protests one of the supposed BIG win's was WA's Karen Law.
The only problem is that a Karen still spends nothing calling the cops and ANY single cop interaction with a false basis could be deadly.
The legislature reocgnized this be making Karen's liable for police mistakes.
But shouldn't the STATE also be liable for cop violence?

"A person may bring a civil action for damages against any person who knowingly causes...."
Where the WA Karen Law goes wrong is in that phrase "a person may file" which ends up meaning a person needs to spend time and likely "treasure" to navigate the courts.
Since this law is also so new, legal firms don't know how to navigate this process yet.
This basically means in WA a victim of a Karen needs to be a legal pioneer to use this law presently
Meanwhile if you go and read WA's domestic violence laws there's a TON of smart wise instructions to police on how to inform DV victims of their rights.
In my humble opinion the cops and local city attorneys should have an equally clear mandate to acknowledge when a person alleges that false calls amounting to Karen Law violations are occuring and get direct support accessing the legal system in EXACTLY the same ways laid out here.
So please consider signing my petition for Seattle to give SPD Karen Law training and maybe think about even adopting a local Karen Law that actually reduces legal costs for victims. 👇🏿

I was stopped today by FOUR armed Seattle police while picking up my daughter.
Today's cops all repeatedly refused to provide an incident number upon request.
The cops, know that the act of requesting an incident number over the radio triggers a trackable police response report.
Until a SPD officer provides you an incident number many police calls will have NO data or publicly requestable records.
So in order to prove RCW 4.24.345 violations you NEED incident numbers

So why is it so hard for people to understand calling the cops on your Black ex over thirty times in 6 months is literally a clear cut attempt to enact state enabled domestic violence?
Making one or two false police calls bc one random Black person exists is just normal Karen activity.

Philando Castile survive 48 in 13 years before being executed in front of his family.
If Seattle thinks sending a cop to thirty three parenting exchanges in a six month period is smart then CLEARLY we need to inform our leaders about this dangerous over policing of Black parents.
Next up... did you know new Seattle cops get a $25k signing bonus?
Lets research how many cops rcently harassed me that got a $25k singing bonus to harass Black dads.
Are there admissible substitutes that a judge would approve, like maybe a time stamp on a dashboard cam, as recorded during the stop and immediately uploaded to the cloud? At the very least it would make for a good story and an object lesson for others. Just a suggestion.
@nullagent Local law is absolutely clear: just a literal touch against someone's will in a situation like this, no violent component required (taking away any theoretical police discretion), is domestic violence.
But SPD is now just a gang that flagrantly don't enforce or even obey laws. They enforce their ego and authoritah, disregarding laws they don't like and making up "laws" whenever they feel like.
And apparently no one has the ability/will to make SPD face consequences. 😔
