I just saw the Hello Kitty x Apothecary Diaries crossover merch on Instagram (the news is weeks old but algorithm only designed to show it to me today) and someone in the comments was critical of Sanrio for associating Hello Kitty, "a character for little girls", with a series that includes concubines.

I can only imagine how that person would have reacted to Hello Kitty's collabs with Golden Kamuy, a series about violent men hunting down tattooed escaped prisoners and also a semen detective.
