I set up Home Assistant to automatically switch my thermostat between heating, cooling, or both based on weather forecasts, so it stops trying to heat the house on summer mornings or cool it on winter evenings.

A €3 Zigbee leak sensor under an appliance is not clever automation. It just waits quietly for the one event I really don't want to discover by stepping into it.
The important maintenance is boring: test it with a damp cloth, check the alert path, and replace tired batteries before the sensor becomes decoration. #Zigbee2MQTT #HomeAssistant #smarthome

Petite automatisation du soir : uniquement quand je suis à la maison, home assistant va comparer la température de l’extérieur (j’ai une sonde) avec celle de l’intérieur et envoyer une notification pour avertir qu’il est judicieux en ces temps de canicule d’ouvrir pour faire baisser la température !
Ça évite de regarder toutes les 10 minutes mon home assistant pour savoir si je peux enfin ouvrir les fenêtres 😁
