I know that a whole bunch of optimizations I could do today would be a complete waste of time and possibly counterproductive, because I should be measuring November's performance as the baseline.

Looking for #Linux server distro recommendations!

* Target hardware is kind of old (DDR3, SATA drives)
* It needs to run a web server and a Windows VM, nothing else. No GPU.
* No systemd.
* Distro size doesn't matter.
* Ignoring the Windows VM part, I want it to be set-and-forget with stable automatic updates for as long as possible, without my involvement, including power cuts.

I'm OK with some manual setup work, but the result needs to be zero maintenance. Thank you for any recommendations.
