hey @yaxu congrats on the CIC-ing. keen to gather you're (plural) learnings from doing that!

dont know if youve ever crossed paths with Bea who runs Peckham Digital. its quite amazing hearing the battles they had with getting arts council funding this year! but they managed! sounds like it was kind of an Andy Dufresne situation of retrying like 4+ times. you should totes trade notes.

wow a hit toot!

@phillmv this is still going strong:

Linux From Scratch (LFS) is a project that provides you with step-by-step instructions for building your own custom Linux system, entirely from source code.

@TodePond *takes notes* "algorave... is not... scratching the sheep" (maybe it should)

and today... in less than three hours... it's Episode 4! where we give up on trying to figure out what algorave *is* and instead try to figure out what it *isnt*

this would put me out of a job but i can’t say i disagree

RE: https://mas.to/@TodePond/117438467389365692

Welp time to compile and manage packages manually, LFS style

#linux #lfs #linuxfromscratch #opensource

@TodePond NO MORE PACKAGE MANAGERS WE HAVE ENOUGH

In episode 3, the hunt for the true meaning of Algorave took me up into to the mountains

i've figured it out

Just deployed some really fun new voxelchant features I've been tinkering with for a bit.

There's an entire new language/section called #particles. It's a large subset of #fluff, but applies to the particles, allowing you to make really fanciful particle systems.

So for example while offx(100) would move an SDF cube to the right by 100 units, in particles it moves each particle to the right by 100 units each frame. All the rest of the DSL works so you can animate, or even input audio.

fuck off ai music means letting strudel die

@froos let's get dough into light or something

"use strings" let's go

lets go even Lighter
