Watched Conclave today for obvious reasons. Amazing movie. Would recommend 💯

With the blog stood up, you can follow along as I build fadEout, a from-scratch very-much-not-clean-room rebuild of the PC version of wipEout:

I am open to any and all feedback, except for enabling dark mode on the blog. I don’t believe in dark mode, and I will not be enabling the sickos who do </s>.

(I am very much not the first to do this, credit to https://phoboslab.org/log/2023/08/rewriting-wipeout - but I’m not referencing that code at all!)

It’s up!
I started a somewhat mad project, and ranted about it so much that my friends begged me to turn that ranting into a blog post.

I didn’t have a blog, though!

But thanks to nixOS, getzola.org and the excellent duckquill.daudix.one theme, now I do:

What is the appropriate reaction to your ski-bus driver having his own theme song that he plays at the start of the trip?

It goes on for so long, with a chorus and several verses and mentions his job before he became a bus driver 😃

you ever go back to a love song you were like “so true!”, and realize you had no idea of the depth and intensity of true love, because how could you have?

https://ckbk.zmb.cm is up!

took me long enough to bodge together a nixos module, with added bonus adventures in switching nixos channels along the way…
but now it’s running https://github.com/Zheoni/cooklang-chef behind nginx, and all I‘ll ever need to do is upload more recipes

can anyone diagnose what it means to get stuck with Soupy George?

current status: using the commit log of a private repo to leave environmental storytelling notes.

I can't wait for Advent of Code to start, so I can write things that people (well, at least *a* person) read!

if I were the kernel, I would simply bound these events

https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/memory/addressof

> Obtains the actual address of the object or function arg, even in presence of overloaded operator&

Operator overloading is a hell of a drug.
Also, I can all but guarantee that *someone* is going to specialize std::addressof for their cursed custom type to *also* change the output of that.
Whether this will be followed by std::actualaddressof or violence (or both), I do not know.

Hat tip to @mcc for nudging me into the depths of the C++ standard

Reading some Ranma 1/2 (inspired by @mcc posting about it).

Akane‘s github commit history is very impressive!

I don’t know why this is important for my flight, but I appear to have been designated a top
