Today I got a subcutaneous catheter for (reasons) which really sucked but it kinda wasn’t as bad as expected. The thing itself really fucking sucks though.

At first I understood I would have it for 6 weeks, but I misunderstood. It was 6-8 weeks, then they check a few things, replace the catheter, and after that they’ll plan a surgery in 2-3 months. So that was bad news.

Then they told me the checks are in 3 weeks, instead of 6-8. I thought this was a mistake, so I emailed my urologist (urologist 1). She said it wasn’t a mistake and it was due to scheduling issues and otherwise it would take too long. So kind of good news.

Then *today*, urologist 2 said again it should be 6-8 weeks, and was skeptical about the 3 weeks. And at any rate it was way too soon to change the catheter so that would have to be in 6 week (which is annoying, an additional appointment, but otherwise fine). So I kind of expect that in 3 weeks they’ll tell me I’ll have another check in 6-8 weeks (from now).
