Public services like BankID shouldn't depend too much on AI-generated code. AI should help professional developers, not replace them, especially when people's money, identities and important transactions are involved.I think AI is a great tool for people who aren't programmers to build simple websites and HTML pages. But there's a big difference between building a simple website and running critical public services.
Many companies in Nigeria still use software built by human programmers. AI is useful, but some things need more than just generated code.

@MagnusIdode I'm absolutely not in a position to say with certainty that the use of AI by Stø (company running BankID) developers causes the service instability we've been seeing recently. Nobody can tell for sure from the outside. However, BankID is perhaps THE most important piece of national digital infrastructure in Norway, and they do not appear to do a great job at keeping it stable nowadays.
