Haven't bothered to look into this yet (never been more than a user on the fedi and its precursors (hi bang group tags of identica!)) — how much of the #Mastodon privacy model is AP's fault, and how much is it Mastodon? (thinking about the often criticised followers-only post level that for example doesn't take into account the thread; or some other privacy levels not present in current Mastodon) Can something like Pixelfed, Loops or Lemmy have different privacy constructs respected across AP?
