I have a whole git repo just full of custom automations and scripts and yet for some reason this has only ever lived and evolved in shell history. I literally release Python packages by doing C-R L L space B U right now

this poll brought to you by me literally needing to invoke Time Machine to grab an older history file to restore this fun little mission-critical guy:

(set -e; vh; pip install build; python -m build; if git tag "$(python -c 'from build.util import project_wheel_metadata as m; print(m(".")["Version"])')"; then echo tagged ok; else if [ "$?" = "128" ]; then echo already pushed; fi; fi; git push --tags; twine upload dist/*.tar.gz dist/*.whl);

And some more

Butcherbird and Australian magpie chicks have been dominating my attention lately, but they're not the only thing I've been photograping. Here are some more photos of birds that aren't babies from the past little while

How many commands critical to maintaining your infrastructure are maintained by ^R searching for them and would take you more than 30 seconds to look up if they fell out of your shell history?

Does anyone have information to suggest whether Wordpress may specifically cut a new release in the next 96 hours?

I now have permission to share something I hoped would be revealed with much more fanfare.

I spent more than 3 years as one of the writers of #MassEffect4

It was one of the greatest privileges & GLORIOUS challenges of my life. I smiled every day. I worked HARD for the fans, every day.

So when I say I am devastated by the end of #MassEffect I REALLY mean it. I don’t know how to express how gutted I truly am.

Xbox wants you to pay 24 to 40 cents per hour to stream games you already bought

Time-based a la carte charges come on top of the purchase price for the games themselves.
