That was the most time our team has spent in the offensive zone ALL SEASON. Possibly all year? 😬
But it shows because we are tied 1-1 after the first. That was some exciting hockey so far.
And my friend's hockey son is in the net today. This is the first home regular season game that any of her goalie sons have played. (She's had 3.)
And they brought out the human slingshot again. 😁

Holy buckets. We are up 6 to 4 with 27 SOG to their 24!
Quite a few penalties and skirmishes. The opponent's goalie picking fights. Once even giving him a penalty.
Unfortunately, 3 of our goals were because they knocked one of our guys out cold, causing a 10 minute expulsion and a 5 minute major. 5 minutes of 5 on 4. But then their goalie got that penalty, so it was 5 on 3! For a minute. Til we scored.
There's still 34 seconds of a power play to start the third period.

We lost 5-8 yesterday but then won 8-5 today. What a weekend series.
