    YBC 7289 is just beautiful.

The square root of two to the equivalent of _six_ decimal digits _by itself_¹ on a Babylonian clay tablet from the first half of the Second Millennium.
    _________
¹ Most Mesopotamian clay tablets are completely filled with text, no margins.

The value as a 32-bit floating-point number is (printed as) 1.4142135,
i.e. it is accurate up to its precision.

I was very lucky to see it up close once.
