Reached to one "service provider" around an open source software I'm involved with asking them for help to fix security issues. Answer: "how can we help ?"
Seriously...
Open source sucks as much as proprietary software. The only difference really is that you can look at the source code, but hardly nobody does in fact, so there isn't much value in adopting it.
Advice: stay away from computers as much as possible. There is so much garbage in them.
