    My friend, who works out,
sent me an article 
on the secret strength exercises
a celebrity does to stay fit, 
and while I suppose 
lateral raises and squats,
    curls and lunges, 
are all good to do,
it seemed to me 
the celebrity’s real health secret 
is just being rich.

    @plaguepoems don't forget ventilation! rich people actually make sure the places they frequent have proper ventilation!

    @dougiec3 @plaguepoems I never learned to drive and am fortunate to live in a neighborhood where I can walk to most of the paces I need to go (groceries, libraries, a few restaurants and shops) or use transit. I'm retired, but for +/- 40 years I commuted by transit.

    Four blocks to the nearest bus stop. I walk to & from the grocery two or three times a week and carry purchases home. I go out almost every day, unless the weather is terrible (or, very rarely, I'm sick).

    @dougiec3 @plaguepoems I go on nature walks with the Parks Department and a couple of local groups, and I volunteer in parks and beach clean-ups. Sometimes I take walks on my own, for fun. Or researching for articles for a local non-profit environmental organization.

    And, of course, there are chores around the house.

    So I'm probably active close to three hours a day. Not in a gym; in my neighborhood.
