I was courteous while trying to figure out why they wanted to go this route rather than making the game playable by the blind (this was before the mod existed), and got a canned response. I was courteous, yes, but my actual reaction was like WTFFFFFFF??? You gotta be shitting me!

@bscross32 I went on a huge ass rant the other month because RE Requiem, while being completely unplayable by the blind, has a blind character you are supposed to cart from place to place with no agency and who eventually dies, then gets re-animated so you have to kill her again. Just 10/10 on the representation.

@bscross32 It also annoyed me because the usual whores gave it the usual gloss ("great game! I can't play it, which is a downer, but, meh, 9/10") but that's orthogonal to this discussion
