The good news? Power outage this morning but the home battery setup kept all of the critical load circuits active (HVAC, frig/freezer, servers, a few other minor things) with no down time. The bad news? All of the smart switches on non-critical load circuits did NOT come back on via the Home Assistant automation I created. I had to do it manually like a neanderthal.
@simplenomad I had one of a dozen smart hubs go down one day.. So many seemingly random automations and switches broke.. I thought my wife was going to divorce me.
@simplenomad I had that with a smart relay. I now have an automation that detects when it changes from "Unavailable" to "Off" and sets it to "On" if it should be on. (Which last happened in November 2024, it says.)
@TimWardCam I think in my case it is a problem with the "if it should be on" logic. 🤷 I'll figure it out....
@simplenomad Ah. My main logic sets a helper, which I can then use as the source of "if it should be on".
