Is there anything we can do to encourage them and others to see the value this corner of the community before Butterfly site finshes it's handcart ride and they all have to jump ship again.

@GeekyTeaKitty It’s difficult because they get 5 to 10 times more engagement on BS than here, and that’s how most creators measure the purpose of their social media presence. Also their and their social circle’s personal accounts are over there. Like, Graham *really* tried to push for Mastodon for a while, but the only other members who ever had any presence here were the ones already on Mastodon. I was pretty disappointed to see some of them stick to Twitter for as long as they did.

@SadlyGoose and I get that, but I can't be the only one that sees that Bluesky is already on it's way to hell in the proverbial handcart and that cultivating a space that already exists before the crash has value. That way you don't have to start from scratch. Again.

@GeekyTeaKitty Oh I agree. That’s why I don’t have a BS account. Or an Instagram account, even though this is actually the platform where most of the creators I used to follow on Twitter went to.

@GeekyTeaKitty No, not really. I personally don't feel like begging those who dumped us.

They can have their popular, "engaging" Nazi-bar-in-training. 🤷🏻

I subscribe to them on YouTube. I like Grahan, Cory, Ian... Couple more. Desert Bus is neat!

But that's the extent of it. I no longer feel like part of their community. Sure as hell am not a "fAn".

Kind.social gave me a place to hang out, goof around, and even make connections with other people.

I have my community. You all are. :LRR_Heart:
