Hey fedi, got a paint question.

I want to paint a styrofoam head and the paint needs to be waterproof (because I'll be putting a wig on it and that will sometimes be wet).

Is acrylic paint followed by a sealant my best option, or is there a paint that's waterproof that doesn't also dissolve the styrofoam?

I can't help but feel a little abandoned by LRR here. I'm on Mastodon and this instance because of LRR (don't worry, I'm not going anywhere) and it feels like they've all flocked to Twitter 2.0 and we're long forgotten except by Beej and Ian.

I know creators don't owe us anything but I had hoped that the main account would engage with this small but passionate community at least a little. But all we get is announcements that feel more like cross posts than directed specifically at us.

Double update. Problem is back. software update was not the solution. Update. Problem fixed, hopefully. System needed an update. This is a strange one and I don't know if anyone will have any answers, but I'm gonna #askfedi so hopefully I can go back to people and tell them what it could be/how to fix it.

I live in an apartment with a call system that calls down to support workers who work in the building. There are 10 apartments set out for this purpose. We each have a calling system that connects to the support workers downstairs on a phone. My calling system has been malfunctioning lately. It sends out multiple spam calls all at once, even when I haven't used it. The last time I intentionally used this thing was back in early May. It's now Mid-june and this has been going on since Mid May. So This thing just spam calls them. Sometimes they get 75 calls in the space of 2 minutes. Each time it happens I communicate I don't need anything, that the system is malfunctioning. So now comes the question. Any idea what could be causing this, and any solutions? I'll post a video showing what happens in this thread.

My podcast editor has suggested that I start uploading episodes to YouTube, and to accomplish this, that I should get some artwork done to serve as a wall-paper-y thing for the audio to play over.

Is there any chance that there are any artists here that would be interested in a small job? Might be a long shot, but someone that listens to the podcast will probably have great opinions on the vibe!
