My kids' school has laptops with ChromeOS on them, an OS with the unfortunate design choice that accounts can be removed from the login screen without the need for any privileges. You can guess one thing that bullies love to do.

Also: isn't this Google crap meant to store everything on the cloud? So nothing is ever really lost?
It is really beyond me that we allow young kids to get used to such toxic digital ecosystems by the way.

@MishaVelthuis I'm not sure as a parent I'd have much influence on school's technology choice, especially since the school has been often dismissive of us buitenlanders when we asked them to do a bit more about bullying. At least at home the kids can use penguin-themed and dragon-themed software.
@raphv no yes, individually we are stuck in the system. I definitely don't mean to hold individual parents accountable. But as a *collective* of parents, or as a society, we are failing at protecting our kids. (Not just digitally of course).
