OpenStreetMap is seeing repeated unauthorised spam from Upwork freelancers. It wastes our time and damages the reputation of the businesses using these "SEO" services.
@osm_tech I have used Upwork to find gigs but... that site has alot of issues and implementations that make it another shitty job board site.
Do you think there is some sort of false job posting on Upwork which is causing this spam? I dont doubt that phantom jobs exist on there.
@Catwoman69y2k We are aware of freelancers on the site who daily post significant amounts of "SEO" backlink spam on OpenStreetMap. Their listing makes them look like legitimate agents.

@osm_tech Is there any harm in changing the link to point at a harmless destination, or does that still pollute your system? Maybe make it easier to flag it as spam, so that when people find it, they can nuke it with just one or two clicks?
