How do I find a job that's neither going to burn me out nor bore me?

I have started looking at possible jobs and often have a gut feeling when reading them that they sound understimulating compared to my current position. Part of it may be that offers don't reflect the job itself correctly (I really hope that UX designers don't spend their whole days clicking on Figma). I guess the fediverse might have clues given how many people here have #adhd or #audhd ???

@raphv I was lucky, I found my best job years ago, support developer. It ticks all my ADHD/AuHD traits.
Problems are generally short and intense or longer and more in depth, which gives you natural peaks and troughs in your day.
Investigating issues or finding defects also hits those dopamine buttons
it can be really nerd deep tech, which gets into that obsessive trait too
Lastly, whoever you work for needs to understand the traits that are good at the job and manage accordingly

@dammitjanet Thanks. I did work in tech support a while ago. My difficult with developer type roles is that I have no recent relevant experience and I don't want to start again at a junior level
