one week into trading my 200cc motorbike for an ebike
when I got the motorbike I considered it one of the best purchases I had ever made; such a huge improvement over having to use a car to get around
but now I consider this is a major improvement over that in almost every way for me
@technomancy I'm on a 900cc bike and it gives me life 😬 it's my most shameful vice, future generations forgive me 🙏
@nasser I live in a small city and rarely go further than 5 or 6 km from home, so what's perfect for me isn't necessarily the best for everyone!
but it is funny that I can remember a few times piling like 8 or 10 people into a 900cc van when I lived in Southeast Asia

@j3s I got the radrunner 3+ since I'm tall but wanted to take a passenger
their other offerings look good too except the radwagon cargo bike, my neighbor had issues with its tires that are a nonstandard size and very difficult to source replacements

@technomancy i'm thinking reaaaaaal hard about one of these lately. would make a 15 mile grocery run on two wheels a whole lot more practical, i suspect.
@brennen my neighbor raves about how much he can take back with his grocery runs with two side baskets; it's wild
he's only shopping for two; I have a family of 4 so it's not super practical for that but everyone's situation is different!
@technomancy yeah, it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for _big_ runs or like picking up bulk staples, but we're just 2 humans and a cat and i used to get a whole lot of what we needed for a week into a couple of panniers back when it was a shorter trip and i was in better shape.
it wouldn't replace every car trip during the warm months by a long shot, but i bet it could make a real dent...
