The reason that AI is being pushed so hard is that the capitalists know what I know - nearly every modern business process goes through computers at some point and those computers run code built by people that are very knowledgeable about how the underlying systems work.

The power is back on! Jay drove by this morning.
I slept great at the hotel but I'd also been on my feet working in the heat all day... Today is just as busy but all indoors, so having the usual bed to get back to is probably going to be better tonight.
I need to scrub the fridge out and then it will be time to see what's left at the grocery stores.
I have too much dentist stuff coming up to deal with poor sleep so we have a hotel for a few days. Hopefully the power will be back on when they say it will. Or if not, hopefully I can extend this stay without trouble.
Left the sourdough colony at home in the non-working freezer with a few ice packs, and will check on it later. It'll be ok if it freezes, but I don't think it will. My yogurt starters were thawed but ok, so I took them to the hotel. If I have power Wednesday I'll be fermenting!
