Saw a chameleon today.

It wasn’t a very good one, obviously.

The Linux kernel is going to remove the requirement to disclose that "AI" was used for a contribution. Apparently, this was decided at the Linux Maintainers Summit, away from the LKML. No open discussion.

What a clown show.

This is silly though for two reasons:

1. Kate Bush isn’t a natural born citizen
2. One nation under funk is the correct answer.

Finally because I am in here posting things I want to tell you an old joke I like to make which is we were collectively denied the best Bush/Clinton of the Bush/Clinton years which would have been an election between Kate Bush and George Clinton. And with that I turn this app off and set my phone down.

JD VANCE???? It took less than 5 months for lung cancer to metastasize to the point of a partial lung removal after the #pope met JD Vance. I guess they tweaked JD Vance to be a slow release Pope killer.

Beckies per becquerel

A terminal UI is just a GUI where the graphics card is your imagination and the rendering engine is 50 years of accumulated technical debt.

I have long argued that media doesn’t focus enough on Stephen miller and I think it’s partly because he’s so repulsive that even the trumpists want to pretend he doesn’t exist and this seems to support that theory!

Staying here in Palo Alto. Was one of the few even reasonably priced hotels this week. But it’s cute in a slightly kitschy way.

I was tempted to try their Mai Tai but I’ve been burned far too many times.

Just went past a huge empty building with a SiTime billboard out front. Hope that’s not indicative of their situation.

Anytime I see a Waymo the only thing that plays in my head is Arnold Schwarzenegger saying “tumor”.

I am continually having to remind people that CNC probe tips are consumables, largely standardized, and relatively cheap if you don’t need stupid levels of accuracy. Don’t freak out when one bends. Just spend $5 and replace it.

Loving the asymptotic approach to weapons-grade nonsense as these warnings get more and more dire.

By November 1st Anthropic will warn that AI is hours away from turning every beetle on the earth into a self-replicating LLM.

By November 30th, OpenAI warns that we are only days way from every digital watch being self aware.

On December 15th, Amodei warns that Anthropic's models are seconds away from converting every electron in the solar system into a data center.
