- lack of academic work experience
- mostly lack of senior management positions
- no IT jobs in 20+ years that were specifically IT
- 20 years of remote work

has decided that i am perfect for Dean of IT Studies in Kuwait (must relocate to Kuwait). can't even imagine how much data center power they burned to come up with such a brilliant spot-on analysis of my experience and interests.

this makes the netflix recommendations seem like quantum physics by comparison.

apple just continues to suck worse and worse. they have apparently fired anyone who has ever had any expertise in UI/UX.

i now have to use the *search* function in the control panel to find the printer. really?

i have used apple since the mac+ finder/system days, unix for years, windows since 3.11. i have suffered through all sorts of system control panels, good and bad.

the current apple OS is amongst the worst.

i can only imagine what will happen as more and more folks with what little UI/UX they still have are replaced with AI.

i truly pity anyone that needs actual accessibility features.

doing a pork tenderloin in the sous vide for dinner. it's in the sous vide bath now, with a mixture of stone ground mustard, white wine, onion powder, celery seeds, caraway seeds, and smoked bacon fat to marinate/cook in.

now i just leave it alone for 5 hours, then make mashed potatoes w gravy and green peas and we have dinner.

followed by "why can't barbie eat full sized penne?"

response: "well she is only doll sized"

sometimes you just have to ask the odd question...

just asked my partner why we have two bags of barbie pasta. turns out it was on sale?

(actual penne rigate but with pink bag and barbie content on it...)

my partner is away, it's May the 4th, and i have control of the blu ray player.

time to watch the original star wars trilogy, sadly, mucked with by lucas after release, but that's what you get on blu ray.

got stuffed olives, cheese, spreads, prosciutto, and a nice martini.
