Okay wait. Texas flipped Blue. Down to their Supreme Court.
Somewhat impressive.

@ErickaSimone The Texas Supreme Court flipped?
@Extra_Special_Carbon @ErickaSimone Yes. In the Texas Supreme Court elections on Nov. 3, 2026, four seats were on the ballot: Chief Justice and Places 2, 7, and 8. The Chief Justice race was won by Maggie Ellis (D) with 3,110,677 votes (56.03%) over Jimmy Blacklock (R) with 2,441,590 votes (43.97%)…
@Extra_Special_Carbon @ErickaSimone It’s a shame the US SCOTUS can’t be voted out… at least some of them.

Oh, there’s a remedy. Supreme Court justices are not immune to impeachment.
Term limits and court expansion are two things we would benefit from.
But getting rid of bad apples that’s will that’s political will

@GhostOnTheHalfShell @ErickaSimone @Extra_Special_Carbon The same methodology to can the President. My understanding is that only 1 SC justice in the history of the Us has been impeached.
@Huntn00 @Extra_Special_Carbon @ErickaSimone Add 4 more justices. Or make the court a rotating assignment. District judges rotate on and off the Supreme Court every 5 years or something.
And that would help with recusals. Right now if a bunch of supremes recuse, the case just won’t be heard. But with a rotation system, they could replace one or two that need to recuse.
@ErickaSimone Elon Musk will be apoplectic
