Just used sudo-rs for the first time and I can't tell you how jarring seeing asterisks at a sudo prompt was after 25 years of sudo setting noecho (not to mention the two decades before I started using it, all to stop your password being printed out on your line printer)

Definitely annoying change that I for one donotlike. Especially annoying as it's not on all my machines and was unexpected.
@AlisonW yeah, first the prompt was weird and then the asterisks made me do full on screw-face, I have only upgraded one ubuntu VM to 26.04 so far

Semi-stupidly at the weekend I decided to go through all my machines and get them as up to date as I could reasonably get. There's a mix of Debian, Ubuntu, NixOS, and FreeBSD.
