Trump is dismantling the science system that made America a superpower. NIH has delayed or canceled over 2,000 grants on Alzheimer’s, cancer and more, NSF is withholding more than $1 billion, Energy lost over 1,000 scientists, and Pentagon labs lost 14% of their staff, which the Pentagon itself says could have grave consequences for defense. China is catching up while foreign Ph.D. applications drop 21%. We built this over 80 years, and it’s being gutted in under two.
