AlpineBSD combines NetBSD with Alpine’s apk package manager
AlpineBSD is an operating system based on the NetBSD kernel with a userspace inspired by Alpine Linux and the objective of making it possible to use as little AI-generated software as possible. There is no LLM output included in the base system or main package repository (AlpineBSD AI policy).

@keyboardg @osnews Solnix seems like slop? Has an AGENTS.md, but it's on Codeberg which doesn't allow it.
Too tired to check any further.

@thomholwerda @keyboardg @osnews Also has that one website design all the slop projects seem to have. What's up with that? New CSS framework or something?

@lykso @thomholwerda @osnews Right. Some text I’ll run through Pangram, but site layout is getting easy to tell.

Looks real sloppy to me. One person (and it is a one-man show, at least in terms of credited human participants) simply cannot write 1.3 million lines in half a year. I've gone ahead and reported it to codeberg.

@thomholwerda @keyboardg @osnews Codeberg does not allow AI but there are still plenty of projects which are 100% vibe-coded. I think the admins don't have enough time to find and delete these projects. It's up to us to report them.

@keyboardg @osnews if the goal of alpineBSD is to be as llm-free as possible, I dont reckon solnix is a good rec here seeing that they use llms: https://codeberg.org/solnix/solnix/src/branch/main/AGENTS.md

@farrisswisher @osnews Yea, I wouldn’t run Solnix. I was mentioning it because of how obscure the combination seems.

@osnews I always liked the BSDs more than Linux because of them being closer to UNIX
