I keep hearing people say
that this or that candidate
is completely screwed,
or that this or that party
is completely screwed,
that this or that state
is completely screwed,
and I have also heard
it reported
that Arizona has had
its first
new world screwworm infection.
Oct 30, 2026, 2:12 AM@plaguepoems Once again, Arizona leading the nation! 😜
@jjdavis @plaguepoems Sorry to contradict, but Texas and New Mexico have already led the nation in active New World screwworm cases. Arizona is third in this underreported unfolding crisis.
@plaguepoems Another fine DOGE legacy. DOGE dismantled USAID (because they were investigating Elon Musk), and USAID programs that had successfully contained screwworm to a single region in Panama were suddenly gone and screwworm immediately started spreading. Since most cattle raised in the US are imported as calves from Central America, due to economics, and now they are no longer being inspected for screwworm when imported, it is completely predictable that screwworm is spreading in the US.
