Oct 27, 2026, 12:47 AMOne thing that annoys me about superhero movies is that no matter what different cool powers/abilities/weapons/technologies the characters have, the final battle is always just them punching each other. Are comics also like that? 💀
Pretty much all superhero movies are taken directly from a comic book, so yes

Admittedly some superhero comics didn't do this -- Sandman, for instance, generally ended fights with something like "now you are trapped in a world of dreams forever" and never punched anyone -- but those generally don't get made into movies or if they do then the movies miss the point.
