💔 Every morning, I wake up wondering how I will provide food for my children. We are still displaced in Khan Younis, living in a fragile tent that offers little protection. The prices keep rising, and even the simplest necessities have become difficult to afford.
🙏 Please don't let my family face these hardships alone. If you can donate even $5, or share my verified fundraiser, you will give us hope and help us get through another difficult day.

the good, useful internet did not make enough money. The broken, ad-blasted, unusable internet also doesn't make enough money

Since I keep reading random non-Brazilians commenting "but what about the security" when people bring up the Brazilian voting system, I'd like to invite you to take a deep breath, count to 10 and think to yourselves
- Am I the very first genius to ask this question?
- The system was developed 25 years ago, no one over 25 years has considered this possibility?
- The country has 100M+ voters and like, 50 political parties that hate each other, did I really think about something new?
@renata@cosocial.ca @casseagull@mstdn.social by the way, the Electoral Justice created a mascot for this elections, named Pilili, after the sound when you confirm a vote
I love it!
I cannot describe how emotionally exhausted I am at this very moment but

Fuck rich white boy fascists, you get NOTHING this week!
Someone (not me) needs to pirate and watch Dark Horse and make a thread about how much it sucks. Try to figure out what they were spending all that money on (other than crimes) 😈
there are three* questions that can help you when someone comes to you with a problem they're experiencing:
1. are we processing or planning?
this is the one you hear about in romantic relationships, where one partner wants to vent and the other starts trying to move the world instead of listening. listening is the first thing.
2. do you want my help?
please, *please* be prepared to accept no. the first time. and they may still want your advice.
3. do you want me to help you do this or to do this for you?
*only* if there's a yes on 2. it's situational! if something is hard for them but trivial for you, they may prefer for you to just do it. other times they may just want support, or help with a specific aspect. a request for help is not a surrender of autonomy.
* there are more than three, but roughly these three in roughly this order tend to help me in that situation. and sometimes they've already volunteered some of this information. listening is first.
One thing that annoys me about superhero movies is that no matter what different cool powers/abilities/weapons/technologies the characters have, the final battle is always just them punching each other. Are comics also like that? 💀
They keep coming! Everyone's furious with the way Meta tried to intervene in our election and it seems like the movement for digital sovereignty is really taking off 🥳 https://mastodon.online/@sofiav/117499013877662190

About my two toots (in Portuguese) below:
"Flávio Bolsonaro had his passport confiscated by the Brazilian fed police as his brother Eduardo told him to flee to the US.
He is tied to paramilitary gangs, is being investigated & lost his legislative immunity when he left the Senate to run for president." - Mike Elk
