I gotta have a spreadsheet, main. Don't tell me to hledger my taxes, not happening. XD
Calc is the only thing I use LO for. Well, occasionally use Writer only for things that must be printed. No, I'm not gonna learn TeX for that. XD

why contaminate your hard drive with an entire office suite for two programs though? spreadsheets and rich text editors abound and there is no meaningful reason for them to be In A Suite except for Microsoft's marketing convenience in 1996

I've dabbled with Gnumeric in the past, but found it a bit buggy. I might try it again. Abiword is fine, though.
Yeah, the heavy office suite paradigm is kinda weird. There may be some advantages to having a shared code base for the various tools, but it's a lot of bloat, too.
